We are a relationship based, community-driven development focused in Northeast OKC, a place of great beauty, history, and also tremendous injustice.
We want to see communities thrive, mutually-beneficial relationships forged that challenge, sharpen & change one another, and unity be the thing which marks us.
Restore OKC operates under the belief that all people have value, dignity, and something to offer. Our hope is that this translates into efforts based on honest exchange where each recipient's contribution is valued and needed, so that the ownership and ability to sustain and improve it remains with the community.
Since we began, we have watched neighbors, volunteers, partners, and community leaders work together to see our community schools resourced and supported: opening a grocery store in a former food desert, seeing homes transformed into affordable rentals and rent-to-own opportunities, and building businesses that employ more than 60 neighbors.
Above all else, we've experienced the true joy of belonging to a resilient and beautiful community that shows up big and rejoices bigger! When all of these arms work together, we believe the result is pretty profound.
Practicing loving our neighbor through practical deeds of mercy. Every 2nd Saturday, we come together to serve our Northeast Oklahoma City neighbors with home repairs and affordable housing as available!
By placing a system of support alongside our community’s elementary schools, we make sure that our school staff and students experience the love and backing of a wide community committed to giving kids a strong foundation.
We believe in investing in local enterprises that meet local needs by employing people from the community. We also want to create a space where our students can lead the next generation in creating sustainable food and flourishing futures.
When we create jobs, we give neighbors the freedom to choose how they want to develop their own community. Adult employment allows us to walk with whole families and build deep meaningful community.
